The ticketing industry is “close” to moving completely paperless, according to Skiddle co-director and founder, Ben Sebborn.Sebborn told the Access All Areas website that the industry is ready for the move, although in the same report, Ticket Zone’s chief operating officer, Wayne Munday, claimed that ticketing will never go completely paperless. Eventbrite UK and Ireland general manager Joel Crouch, who was also quoted in the article, said that the speed of adoption of paperless ticketing will ultimately depend on the consumer.

Ticketing provider Ticket Zone has been selected as the ticketing back office and contact centre for the event. Achieve Expo is a health, wealth and happiness exhibition to take place on 14-15 October in Bath. The event is being championed and organised by TV personality Martin Roberts. Wayne Munday, chief operating officer at Ticket Zone, commented: “This is a really exciting event and we are very proud to have been selected to provide the ticketing services for the Achieve Expo. This is a high-profile expo and the first of its kind – we hope it is a huge success and becomes an annual fixture.”

Ticketing platform Ticket Zone has linked up with FanFair Alliance, the anti-touting campaign group, to rally against ticketing industrial-scale online scalping.The company has signed FanFair’s declaration against online ticket fraud, in which the campaign takes action to put face-value tickets in the hands of true fans. “This is a really important issue. With over 35 years in the industry we have seen industrial-scale touting rise over the past few years,” said Wayne Munday, chief operating officer for Ticket Zone.
